Our Favorite Moments From World Tour Amsterdam

Trailblazers gathered together for a full day of inspiration and innovation at Salesforce's World Tour Amsterdam. Here are some of our most favorite moments.

With 6,000 total registered attendees, World Tour Amsterdam 2019 was a full day of inspiration and innovation for our many Trailblazers in the Netherlands. From discussions with women entrepreneurs, more than 100 sessions to choose from, and giving back activities, this Salesforce event had a little something for everyone. Here are some of our most favorite moments captured on camera:

An equality breakfast kicked off the day for 80 women leaders. Inspiring role models such as Neelie Kroes (former European Commissioner and member of the Board of Directors of Salesforce), Marian Spier (from TEDxAmsterdamWomen) and Peninah Nthenya Musyimi (from Safe Spaces Nairobi), discussed women leadership, entrepreneurship, creating equal opportunities, and implementing change.

Salesforce’s Chief Innovation Officer Simon Mulcahy presented the main keynote, titled “A Celebration of Trailblazers” (click here to watch a similar keynote delivered by CEO Marc Benioff at Dreamforce ‘18). Simon spoke about the Fourth Industrial Revolution, how everything is connected, and how organizations can benefit from smart technology.

Local retailer brand, Ahold Delhaize, was highlighted as a Trailblazer for embracing technology to improve their customer experience. The company also hosted The Albert Heijn Customer Experience on the Expo floor to showcase the industry-leading innovation of Ahold Delhaize’s flagship brand Albert Heijn on the Salesforce platform.

Regional Vice President Eva Heffernan presented a Golden Hoodie to Jurn Douwes, an active and inspiring member of the Trailblazer Community in the Netherlands. He was thanked for his unbridled commitment to the community and being a true inspiration for others.

During the event, Salesforce.org donated US$100,000 to War Child, an organization that helps refugee children to process traumatic experiences. This program supports children that were affected by war through structured sports and play activities.
